TOMMY FORTMANN

Marco Falaschi

graduates in clarinet (Conservatory of Florence, Italy,1985) and saxophone (Conservatory of Perugia, Italy 1987); both with Summa Cum Laude. Winner of orchestra contests for leading roles at ‘Teatro alla Scala’ of Milan and the ‘RAI Orchestra’ of Naples. As soloist, he is regularly invited by the ‘Accademia Chigiana’ of Siena, the ‘Symphony Orchestra’ of Sofia, the ‘Teatro del Giglio’ and the ‘Chamber Orchestra Boccherini’ from Lucca.
He has played in concert tours in the most renowned music festivals and concert halls with the ‘Accademia Amiata Ensemble’, the saxophone quartet ‘the Saexophones’, the clarinet quartet ‘Lefevre’ and as a duet with the pianist Ettore Candela. He has been invited for recordings by the Radio/TV networks RAI(Italy), ZDF(Germany), RSI(Switzerland) and as well for CD recordings for Pentaphone, Amiata Records, Phoenix and Patos.

WORKS:

In 1992 Marco Falaschi is appointed Chair Professor at the Conservatories of Mantova and La Spezia.Together with his most outstanding students, he has also founded the ‘Albeniz Quartet’.During these years he has also developed a classical didactic method: ‘The Saxophone’ which is being adopted all over Italy, and is available at Patos-Verlag.
